QUAD was founded in 2021, by Vasco Carvalho, a Padel lover and a regular practitioner of the sport, who felt that there was no premium brand on the market that responded to the needs of the athletes in the sport. From idea to reality, QUAD was born. A portuguese Padel brand of rackets, clothing and accessories. After 3 successful years, history repeated itself. After the first contact with Pickleball, the fastest growing sport in the US, QUAD took a step forward and in July of 2024, QUAD Pickleball it’s the market. The entire collection of Padel and Pickleball are produced in Portugal, with high quality materials and a production process that allies the innovation and technology that Padel and Pickleball players are looking for.

The beginning of the Brand
In June 2020, during the pandemic, the idea of creating QUAD emerged. Vasco Carvalho, passionate about Padel, felt that there was no premium brand on the market that satisfied the needs of Padel athletes. So we started taking the first steps towards creating the brand.
December 2020
QUAD Team
Before hitting the market, QUAD closed the best National Padel Players from each city and created the QUAD Team. In December 2020, names like Diogo Rocha and Catarina Vilela, both Nº1 Padel Players in the country, signed for QUAD.
April 2021
QUAD Padel It’s the Market
After 1 year in the making, QUAD Padel it’s the market with its first collection of Rackets, Clothing and Accessories.
March 2022
The born of the Factory
After a successful year, and several national and international orders, QUAD moves forward with the construction of the QUAD Factory. The first carbon Padel rackets factory in Portugal. In this way we guarantee delivery times and production with quality raw materials.
October 2022
Launch of the “Black Edition”
In October 2022, QUAD launched the “Black Edition”, the first Padel rackets collection produced at the QUAD Factory. A collection with 4 models: Rhino, Tiger, Lynx and Fox.

QUAD Padel x Forbes Magazine
By the end of the year QUAD was featured in the most successful business magazine of the country: Forbes Portugal. With an article entitled “O Businez do Padel”, QUAD talked about the growth of the sport all around the world, the growth of the brand in the national and international market, expectations on the future and the turning point that was the opening of the QUAD Factory.
September 2023
QUAD Padel x Morangos Com Açúcar
During the year of 2023, QUAD received an invitation to be the official Padel brand of a Portuguese hit show called: Morangos Com Açúcar. Padel was the sport of the season, and by the popularity of the show, QUAD decided to join and invest in a new marketing strategy. The series premiered in September 2023 and was a major success, representing awareness and popularity to the brand.
December 2023
QUAD Padel x FC Porto
QUAD Padel x FC Porto was the first collaboration of the brand. A partnership that started with the idea of creating a Padel racket for the FC Porto brand, that wanted to enter in the Padel market. From this collaboration, Dragon was born, a racket developed by the QUAD Factory’s R&D department and Diogo Rocha, 10x Nº1 National Padel Player and a FC Porto partner from 25 years.

Best Fit Brand of 2023
The year of 2024 started in the best way for the Portuguese brand. QUAD was nominated for Best Fit Brand at the NiT Awards, presented by Revista NiT. At the end of the evening QUAD was elected the winner of the category by the readers of the magazine.

QUAD Padel x Siza Vieira was a collaboration that connected art and sports. An art piece that will be spread by museums all over the world. Celebrating the life and work of the most prestigious portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

After almost 1 year of testing, planning and working on it, QUAD Pickleball finally hit the market in the middle of the year with its first collection. QUAD was the first Portuguese Pickleball brand and factory to produce this type of racket. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US and QUAD is ready to conquer this new market.
